DHANGADHI: Hosts Farwest Pashupati Youth Club defeated PFA Attariya 4-3 on penalties in the final of the third Farwest Pashupati Cup Football Tournament here on Saturday.

The match went to spot kick battle after both the teams played a goalless draw in the regulation and extra time.

The top two teams received Rs 300,000 and Rs 150,000 respectively.

Farwest’s RoshanKhatri was named the best player of the tournament, while his teammates Segun (highest scorer), Pritam Khadka (best goalkeeper) and Dipendra Budha (emerging player) also won individual awards.

Attariya’s Amit Tamang got the best defender’s award. The individual award winners earned Rs 10,000 each.

A total of 16 teams competed in the event organised by Farwest Pashupati Youth Club.
