PHIDIM: Karna Singh Sonam Memorial Football Club of Taplejung thrashed Kamrang Football Club of Sikkim 5-1 to enter the final of the seventh Falgunanda Gold Cup Football Tournament here on Wednesday.
Rajin Dhimal opened the scoring for Taplejung in the third minute, while Bikash Limbu of Kamrang levelled the scores in the 29th minute.
Dhimal put Taplejung ahead with his second goal in the 55th minute, while Deepak Rai, Segun Ethio and Khamir Wilson scored in the 62nd, 73rd and 86th minute respectively to seal the victory.
Taplejung will take on the winners of the match between defending champions Phidim Sporting Club and Church Boys Club. A total of eight teams from Nepal and India are competing in the tournament.
