Four Nepali players are participating in the ninth Wado Ryu Karate Do International Championship 2024.
The championship is scheduled to take place in Tokyo of Japan from August 24.
The six-member team comprising players-Alen Shrestha, Susmita Waiba, Anil Uparkoti and Aron Sherchan is leaving for Japan to participate in the two-day championship.
At a programme organised at Khumaltar, former Prime Minister and Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', bade farewell to the players.
On the occasion, Chair Dahal expressed the belief that the players would win the medals and wished them success.
Office-bearers of Nepal Wado Ryu Karate Do Association, Vice-Chairperson of Nepal Karate Federation, Shyam Sherpa, among other officials were present on the occasion.
