Four Nepali wrestlers clinch titles

KATHMANDU: Four Nepali wrestlers won titles of the second International Ring Wrestling Championship here at the NSC covered hall on Saturday.

David and Dilasha won the double tag fight, while Ram and Rawan claimed the open challenge category title. Likewise, Nuwakot Tiger won flag match and The Yuve bagged the four-corner category.

Also, Dildar Singh of India claimed the handicap category title, while Metisto of Russia won the single lady category title. The Eurasian Dragon of Singapore and Bambam Bilos of Australia also won titles.

A total of 21 wrestlers — 12 from Nepal and nine foreigners — took part in the one-day event organised by Nepal Ring Wrestling Association under the sponsorship of Dish Media Network Limited.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista handed over prizes to the winners.

The wrestlers will now move to Itahari for another championship slated for Monday.
