Friendlies with JFL team

LALITPUR: The Japanese Football League team will play against Nepal ‘Blue’ in a friendly match at the Dasharath Stadium on Friday.

According to head coach Ibata, the team — second division with the U-22 players — was formed with the players from 16 clubs of the Japanese Football League. “The two countries differ in playing style and infrastructure and we are looking forward to a competitive match,” said Ibata at a press meet.

All Nepal Football Association Vice-president Sikshit Parajuli said the Japan FA sent the team upon their request. “Japan FA has been helping in the development of Nepali football and we had requested them to send a team for friendly matches,” said Parajuli.

“We are hoping for a good match as Japanese teams are good in football,” he added. The JFL team will play second and final friendly match against Manang Marshyangdi Club on December 15.

The ANFA has set the ticket price at Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 for VIP and general parapet respectively.
