Gaurika Singh wins fourth medal in 12th SAG

KATHMANDU: Nepal's 13-year-old swimmer Gaurika Singh on Wednesday bagged her fourth individual medal in the ongoing 12th South Asian Games in India.

Today, Singh won a silver medal in the 200 metre medley. Earlier, she had won three bronzes in the regional sports event.

The youngest member of the Nepali team in the ongoing SAG, Singh is the only player to win as many as four medals in this edition of SAG from Nepal.

"I am happy," the medalist told the Rastriya Samachar Samiti, "The result would have been better had I prepared better."

With the medal, Singh also made a national record of 2:33.26 minutes.

Meanwhile, Nepal have earned total 32 medals including one gold, 12 silver and 19 bronze medals till Wednesday.

Nepal are at the fifth position of the medal tally.
