Ghale elected

KATHMANDU: The general assembly of Kathmandu District Cricket Association on Sunday elected President Diwakar Ghale and 11 members.

Ghale was elected unopposed after another presidential candidate Upendra Bhattarai walked off the assembly urging Cricket Association of Nepal and National Sports Council to stop the election process that ‘did not meet all the requirements’.

Prafulla Baidhya, Durganath Subedi, Sudip Sharma, Raju Basnyat, Amitbir Pandey, Ajaybir Pandey, Rajan Ghale, Maheshwori Dangol, Sachin Timalsina, Bijitdhoj Chand and Dipesh Poudel were elected as the Members unanimously after three candidates pulled out. One each vice-president, secretary and treasurer will be nominated from among the elected members.

The committee will get the full shape after the nomination of five members, three by the president and two by the committee.
