KATHMANDU: Maj Gen (Retd) Daman Ghale and Bishwa Kant Mainali won the titles of the third NRN Friendship Golf Tournament here at the Gokarna Golf Club on Sunday.

Played under stable ford 3/4 handicap format over 18 holes, Ghale accumulated 40 points to win the overall trophy, while Bijay Bahadur Shrestha finished second with 35 points and Tsultrim Lama came third with 33. In NRN category, Senior Advocate Mainali finished first with 35 points, whereas Lalit Subba and Bhaban Bhatta came second and third respectively.

Dhruba Thapa won the closest-to-the-pin and Lalit Limbu bagged the longest drive awards. Maj Gen MB Karki won the most birdies award. President of Nepal Olympic committee Jeevan Ram Shrestha handed over the prizes to the winners.

In all, 22 players participated in the annual tournament organised by Non-Nepali Residents Association.
