KATHMANDU: Samundra Giri carded seven-over 79 to clinch the annual Caddies’ Golf Tournament here at the Gokarna Golf Club today.

Giri registered a one-stroke victory over Amit Bogati in a field of 16 caddies who made it to the final through a qualifying tournament held in July.

Giri’s card included three birdies on Hole Nos 3,10 and 12 while he dropped shot on Hole Nos 1, 5, 11,14 and 18 along with a double bogey on the second hole and triple bogey on 17th hole. Giri received a cheque of Rs 10000 for his triumph.

Amit Bogati had to settle for the second place with the score of eight-over 80. Bogati sank a sole birdie on the third hole while dropping shots on Hole Nos 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, 15 and 18. Bogati also had a double bogey on the second hole. He earned Rs 7500 for his effort.

With the score of 14-over 86, Sunil KC ended up

third and earned Rs 6000. General Manager of the Gokarna Forest Resort Vikram Singh gave away the prizes to the winner.
