KATHMANDU: Golden Gate International College entered the girls’ section semi-finals of the sixth BernHardt Cup Inter-college Basketball Tournament here on Thursday. Golden Gate defeated hosts BernHardt 34-28 riding on Yanchhen Thakuri in the Group B match. Despite the loss, BernHardt made it to the last four as group runners-up.

In another girls’ section match, NASA beat Xavier International 30-25 with Priyanka Awale and Anita Basnet scoring nine points each. In boys’ section, Golden Gate beat Mega College 74-24 riding on Kunchhen Thing to advance to the last 16. In other matches, Ajay Kushwaha netted 12 points as Xavier International defeated BernHardt 47-28, while Prime beat New Summit 45-25 with Shashi Parajuli scoring nine points for the winners.
