KATHMANDU: Golden Gate International College and Hetauda School of Management recorded victories in the last league round matches of the second Patriots Cup Inter-college T20 Cricket Tournament here at the Mulpani grounds on Thursday. Golden Gate thrashed Prime College by 188 runs.

Batting first, Golden Gate posted 218 without loss in their allotted 20 overs. Trit Raj Joshi scored an unbeaten 106 off just 57 balls, while another opener Aashutosh Ghiraiya scored 63-ball 95 not out.

Player-of the-match Ghiraiya returned to take 5-2 from three overs to pack Prime for a paltry 30 runs in 12.5 overs.

Nikhil Singh and Ravi Sah grabbed two wickets for Golden Gate. In another match, HSM defeated Public Youth Campus by 57 runs.

Batting first, HSM were bowled out for 123 runs in 19.2 overs before packing PYC for 66 in 16.2 overs.

Bishesh Bikram Thapa top scored for HSM with 33 runs, while Irfan Nadaf contributed 19.

Vineet Panthi scored 20 for PYC and Rabin Saud was the next best at 15.

Player-of-the-match Gaurav Shrestha (3-13), Krishna Yadav (3-14) and Nadaf (3-4) shared nine wickets among them for HSM. In Friday's semi-final matches, Bluebird College will take on Kathmandu University, while Golden Gate will face Orient College.

The final is slated for Saturday.
