Golfers off to HK

KATHMANDU: A three-member Nepali team on Sunday left for Hong Kong to participate in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship slated for October 1-4 at the Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club.

Nepal No 1 player Arun Tamang and No 2 Tanka Karki will take part in the championship, while Nepal Golf Association General Secretary Tashi Ghale accompanied the players to Hong Kong as team manager.

Australian PGA Instructor Kim Baldwin, who had conducted a one-week training camp at the Gokarna Golf Club earlier this month, will join the team in Hong Kong. Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Kripasur Sherpa bade farewell to the team at the Royal Nepal Golf Club.
