Kathmandu, October 4:

Gopal Chitrakar won the Everest Express Tours & Travels Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Course today.

Chitrakar accumulated 36 points to win the tournament ahead of Raj Pradhan who earned 34 points. Chitrakar won a round ticket to Singapore from Silk Air. Shastika Shrestha edged Sumitra Dayananda on countback to win the ladies section title. Both scored 22 points. Shastika won a round ticket to Pokhara.

Maj Bejoy Moktan won the senior section title with 30 points while Maj Narendra Kumar Rai (28) finished runner up. Khadga Jit Baral was the super senior winner. Meanwhile, Tashi Ghale won the best gross award with 26 points.

Other winners include Shrehar SJB Rana (longest drive in men’s section), Kanchan Basnet (shortest drive), Shastika (longest drive in women’s section), Bejoy Moktan (closest to the pin), Pradeep Bikram Rana (closest to the logo), Maj Kiran Shumsher Thapa (closest to the centre line), Tashi Sherpa (most birdies), Rabindra Man Shrestha (elegant golfer), Nima Wangdi Lama (enthusiastic golfer) and Dil Bahadur Gurung (best stableford points).

MD of Everest Express Tours & Travels Chandra Lekha Pandey, Executive Chairman RR Pandey, RNGC President Madhukar Yakthumba, and Silk Air Manager Joshua Ganesan gave away the prizes.
