Kathmandu, August 1 :

Suman Gurung beat Ananta Rajbhandari to enter the third round of the second Corporate Snooker Tournament, which has been organised by Annapurna Post in association with Radisson Hotel, today.

Also, Satish Krishna Rajbhandari, Raj Upreti, Ummeed Shres-tha, Ravi Shrestha and Pravin Shakya made it to the third round.

Earlier, Dipendra Raj Dangol, Dipendra Gurung, Sunil Tamrakar, Thupten Nima Sherpa, Rajesh KC, Laxman Charan Joshi, Abhisekh and Rakesh Raj Joshi entered the second round from Group A.

Uday Manandhar, Bhusan Tandukar, Anish Bhakta Suwal, Ravi Shrestha, Bishal Shah, Ananta Rajbhandari, Prabal Limbu and Prabin Shrestha advanced from Group B, while Raju Ale, Raj Upreti, Ummeed Shrestha, Kratu Raj Pandey, Satish Krishna Rajbhandari, Bhaskar Shah, Sampanna Shrestha and Ramesh Rana advanced from Group C. Also advancing were Tashi Gurung, Pragyat Bikram Rana, Rijan Maharjan, Suraj Chhetri, Suman Gurung, Praveen Shakya, Christopher Ligutan, Bishow Man Pradhan from Group D.

Suraj Chhetri of APCA Nepal defeated Sanjeev Waiba of Times FM, while Mahesh Acharya of The Himalayan Times failed to capitalise on his first-set win and surrendered to Sampanna Sthapit of Ask Me. Ramesh Rana of British Gurkhas Nepal defeated Maheshwor Shrestha of Annapurna Post in two sets, whereas Bikash Shrestha of APCA Nepal lost to Prabin Shakya of World Link Communication in three sets.
