LALITPUR: Hosts Gyanodaya, Innovative, Malpi and Reliance won the girls’ basketball tournament matches under the 24th Gyan Carnival here on Saturday.

In the inter-school tournament, Gyanodaya defeated Little Angels’ 56-15 riding on 15 points from Ronika Malla, while Rojina Giri netted 14 points as Innovative saw off Kavya 28-8.

Likewise, Malpi outplayed Sudesha 42-2 riding on 12 points from Ishika Dhakal, while Reliance defeated Shridiwa 33-13 in which Rina Bhandari netted 13 for the winners.

In boys’ section, Innovative defeated Malpi 73-51, Deneb beat Bhanubhakta 48-19, and Gyan Niketan registered a 58-42 victory over AIA.

In boys’ football tournament, Pushpasadan hammered Gyan Niketan 6-0, Sudesha defeated Shuvatara 2-0, Malpi beat LA 2-0 and Sri KL School registered a 1-0 victory over Innovative.
