Gyanodaya loses to Mount Dipam
Gyanodaya Club lost to Mount Dipam Club by one point at the basketball tournament organised by Lions Club of Gangtok, in Sikkim in the semifinals.
At the end of the first half, the scoreline read 51 for Gyanodaya Club against 48 for Lions Club. Following the break, scores were draw when Mount Dipam Club’s Tejendra Bhutia and Thuten Bhutia scored three points consecutively. The final scores were 70 for Lions Club against 71 for Gyanodaya.
During the game, individual scores for each player of Gyanodaya Club were: Ratna Rai 20, Gajendra Dongol 16, Manisha Lama 16, Shyam Gyan Limbu 10 and Diwas Mayur 8. Meanwhile, for the Mount Dipam Club, Tejendra Bhutia and Thuten Bhutia each scored 20 points, while other players contributed to their 71 point victory. However, Mount Dipam lost in the finals with 46 points against 54 to St. Xavier’s.
