KATHMANDU: Hong Kong and Thailand won the titles of the Asia U-20 Sevens Rugby Tournament here at the Dasharath Stadium on Sunday. Hong Kong defeated Malaysia 19-14 in the men's section final.

Chinese Taipei finished third in the seven-team competition. Thailand bagged the women's section trophy after they finished at the top of the four-team table. Hong Kong came second and Malaysia were third. Nepal remained at the bottom of the double round robin league table.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Tankalal Ghising, Asia Rugby President Qais Al-Dhalai, Bagmati Province Sports Development Board Member Secretary Suryalal Bhandari, Nepal Olympic Committee General Secretary Nilendra Raj Shrestha and Nepal Rugby Association President Deepak Devkota handed over prizes to the winners.

Meanwhile, Asia Rugby President Al-Dhalai met with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at his residence on Sunday.
