KATHMANDU: Sri Lanka won the U-15 and U-17 section mixed team event gold medals in the Badminton Asia (South Asai) Regional Junior Championship here at the Nepal APF Club on Sunday.
Sri Lanka defeated Nepal 2-0 in the U-15 category final, while Bangladesh and Bhutan finished joint third.
Sri Lanka edged past Bangladesh 3-2 in the U-17 section final, whereas Nepal and Bhutan came joint third. A total of 52 players from six South Asian countries are taking part in the five-day tournament that features 12 events.
