LALITPUR: Hosts Little Angels’ and Sainik Awashiya Mahavidyalaya advanced to the boys’ football tournament final under the second LA Inter-college Sports Meet here on Wednesday.

In the semi-final match, LA ‘A’ beat Nepal Police School 4-0 riding on a brace from Saroj Rai and a goal each from Kenish Dahal and Mohit Tingkari.

Also, SAM outplayed LA ‘B’ 5-2. Sunil Shrestha netted four goals alone and Prakash Giri added one for SAM, while Sworup Karki and Sworaj KC replied for LA ‘B’. In girls’ section, LA and Mega College will vie for title.

In girls’ basketball, Trinity finished runners-up beating LA 30-17. Xavier had claimed the title by winning all three matches in the four-team event played under round robin format. In boys’ section, LA ‘A’ and Xavier International advanced to the final. The final matches will be played on Friday.
