KATHMANDU: Bibek Karki of Dharan and Avash Aryal of United School won the Under-12 and Under-14 championships respectively in the Hareram Joshi Memorial Table Tennis Tournament on Tuesday. Bibek defeated fellow city-mate Prateek Thapa while Avash overcame Prabin Sherpa of Siddhartha Banasthali in final. — HNS

Mickelson wins

NORTON: Phil Mickelson outplayed Tiger Woods on the front nine and closed with a 5-under 66 to win the Deutsche Bank Championship by two shots on Monday. Woods wound up with a 67 and tied for second with Arron Oberholser (69) and Brett Wetterich (70). Mickelson finished at 16-under 268 and earned $1.26 million, moving him atop the standings in the US PGA Tour Playoffs. — AP
