Around 100 golfers are expected to take part in the event which will be played under stableford 3/4 handicappedor the first time in Nepal. “The event will be a permanent fixture in amateur golfing calendar. We are optimistic about competitiveness and attractiveness of the event this year as we are in the middle of the season,” said Chairman of Continental Trading Pvt Ltd Suhrid Ghimire. “This type of tournament attracts competition and joy for amateur golfers and also helps in the development of the sport,” he added.

Senior Golf Director at Gokarna Forest Resort Deepak Acharya thanked the organisers and sponsors of the tournament. “I would like to thank Continental Trading and Isuzu for supporting golf and special thanks to Chairman Suhrid Ghimire for his commitment of organising the event annually,” said Acharya. “The attraction of two hole in one prizes in an event is the first one in the history of golf and we hope somebody wins the prize.”
