KATHMANDU:  Bhaktapur District Sports Development Committee and Vidhya Vikash Secondary Boarding School on Wednesday felicitated taekwondo players Laxman Basnet and Sasman Basnet along with sports photojournalist Rajendra KC and coach Gyaji Khadka.

The organisers felicitated them with letters of appreciation during a programme. The committee and school honoured Laxman Basnet for winning bronze medal in the individual sparing event for men’s 64kg weight category of the 18th Adult, Senior and 13th Junior ITF World Taekwondo Championship held in England in July last year, while Sasman Basnet claimed silver medal in the boys’ 14-15yrs category’s colour belt event.

Similarly, photojournalist KC, who travelled to England to cover the event, was honoured for his contribution in sports journalism. Likewise, coach Khadka was honoured for his contribution in taekwondo for more than 10 years.
