UDAYPUR: Rumpum Jhapa-XI defeated Sahara Club of Pokhara 2-0 and advanced to the final of the fourth Katari Mayor Gold Cup Football Tournament on Wednesday.

Saroj Karki and Ashish Chapagain scored a goal each for Jhapa.

Karki opened the scoring in the sixth minute and Chapagain doubled the tally in the 86th minute.

Jhapa’s Bikash Thulung won the man-of-the-match award and he got Rs 5,000. Gorkha Boys Rupandehi will take on CMG Club Sankata in the second semi-final match on Thursday.
