KATHMANDU: Mohameddan Sporting Club of Kolkata defeated Jhapa-XI 1-0 in the final of the 36th Governor’s Gold Cup in Gangtok on Thursday.

Manvir Singh scored the solitary goal of the match in the 16th minute when his long-distance shot found the back of the nets. Mohameddan received INR 100,000, while Jhapa earned INR 50,000.

Jhapa got the opportunity to participate in the event after Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club pulled out at the last moment.
