KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Youth and Sports on Sunday felicitated nine sports journalists with various awards. Kamal Khatri (Nagarik) received the sports journalism award and he got Rs 50,000.
Likewise, Muna Karki (RSS), Himal Chandra Kharel (Province-1), Ranjan Kumar Bhandari (Province-2), Anil Malla Thakuri (Bagmati), Madhav Aryal (Gandaki), Mukti Babu Regmi (Lumbini), Bhupesh Upadhyaya (Karnali), Sitaram Ojha (Sudurpashchim) got the encouragement awards and they earned Rs 25,000 each.
Minister Dawa Tamang handed over the awards to the winners amidst a ceremony at the ministry. The winners were recommended by a selection committee from among the applicants.
