Judo team to depart
KATHMANDU: A five-member judo team, including three players, is on Wednesday leaving for Kyrgyzstan to take part in the 11th Asian Cadet and 18th Asian Judo Championship slated for July 12-18 in Bishkek.
Indra Bahadur Shrestha (66kg), Kiran Gadel (60kg) and Manita Shrestha Pradhan (57kg) will compete in the tournament.
Coach Birendra Ranjit will accompany the players to Bishkek. Nepal Judo Association President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya will leave for Kyrgyzstan on Monday.
Meanwhile, NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista bade farewell to the team on Sunday.
