LALITPUR: Prabin Bir Singh Kansakar stunned two-time defending champion Amrit Thapa 3-2 in the men’s singles semi-final of the third Civil Bank Open Squash Championship here on Friday.

Kansakar registered a 13-11, 11-8, 5-11, 4-11, 12-10 victory to set the final date with Hira Bahadur Thapa at the Squash Complex.

Father of Amrit, Hira Bahadur defeated Arhant Keshar Singh 11-7, 11-5, 5-11, 11-8. In women’s section, Krishna Thapa and Bhawana Sunar advanced to the final, while Amir Blon and Deepak Thapa made it to the U-17 boys’ singles championship match.

Likewise, Kishor Maharjan and Lal Bahadur Gurung entered the Masters Above-50 category final.

The finals are on Saturday.
