KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Tanka Bahadur Karki shot seven-over 79 to finish 27th in the Runner Group 31st Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship at the Kurmitola Gola Club in Dhaka on Saturday. Karki, who carded 79 in the first two rounds before playing 78 on third day, posted a total o 27-over 315. Another Nepali golfer, Shiva Kumar Majhi was further two strokes behind at 29-over 317 after he shot third straight 78. Majhi had started the campaign with a disappointing 11-over 83. Local golfer Md Akbar Hossain carded three-under 69 to win the trophy with the total score of  six-under 282. Md Ripon was second at three-under 285, while Md Shah Alam was third at 290. On Thursday, Nepali team of Karki an Arun Tamang finished seventh in 10-team competition. Tamang missed cut in individual section.
