Arjun Kumar Karki won the title of the RNGC President's Cup Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.
Played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, Karki finished first on count back after he was tied on 40 points with DIG Ashok Singh in men's section. Singh came second. Karki received trophy and umbrella along with air ticket to Bangkok and dinner for two at Soaltee Crowne Plaza. Runner-up Singh received trophy and umbrella along with air ticket to Pokhara and dinner for two at Hotel Yak and Yeti.
Lt Col Nischaya Jung Rayamajhi won the gross category award with 37 points.
Rayamajhi received trophy and umbrella along with air ticket to Dubai and dinner for two at Vivanta hotel. Tara Karki Chitrakar won the women's section title with 36 points, while Reeya Shrestha came second with 35 points.
Karki Chitrakar also bagged the most birdies award with four birdies.
Maj Gen Kamal Singh Pradhan finished first in senior category with 39 points and San Prasad Pradhan was second with 34 points.
Ravinder Saini (36) and Sapana Malla Pradhan (19) were the guest winners. Jaibir Acharya won the junior section title on count back after he was tied on 21 points with Idhant Singh Saud. In girls' section, Aaiesteena Tandan finished first with 18 points ahead of Shornima Bastakoti, who was runner-up with 13 points.
Norbu Tshering Sherpa won the longest drive award, while Maj Asitya Pratap Singh claimed the closest-tothe-pin trophy. A total of 130 golfers took part in the twoday event. RNGC President Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha, Vice-president Narendra Kumar Rai, Captain Rajendra Man Sherchan, Lady Captain Arshiya Banu, and past presidents Yoghesh Prasad Lohni, Siddheswar Kumar Singh, Madhukar Yakthumba and Rabindra Man Shrestha handed over prizes to the winners.
