KATHMANDU: Team Kathmandu Avengers trounced Dark Forest by 24 runs to seal the title of 3rd NMSRA KTM Cup Cricket Tournament organised on the occasion of 129th World Labour Day, in Kathmandu, on Tuesday.

After winning the toss, Kathmandu Avengers decided to bat first and posted a mammoth total of 163 all out on board in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Dark Forest came out all guns blazing, however, fell short by 24 runs to victory before capitulating the trophy to Kathmandu Avengers.

Kathmandu Avengers player Ram Naresh Yadav, who propelled his team to triumph, was later adjudged man of the match for his scintillating performance. He bagged man of the series award for his overall display in the tournament.

Likewise, Sita Ram Thakur won the title of best batsman, Naresh Gaha Magar claimed the title of best bowler and Madhan Mohan Jha took away the title of emerging player, the organisers said.
