BHAIRAHAWA: Pranav Khanal and Santosh Khatri advanced to the men’s singles final of the first Butwal Open Lawn Tennis Tournament on Sunday.

In the semi-final matches, Khanal defeated Jitendra Pariyar 6-1, 2-6, 6-3, while Khatri saw off Pradeep Khadka 6-3, 6-2.

In women’s singles category, Mayanka Rana and Mahika Rana advanced to the final. Mayanka outplayed Anne Mathema 7-5, 6-3, while Mahika beat Abhilasha Bista 6-3, 6-2. Similarly, Kamal Bhandari and Rohit Sunuwar advanced to the above-35 veteran final.

Bimal Gurung, Bikash Gurung, Chandra Shahi and Dharma Singh Lamichhane made it to the above-45 veteran category semi-finals.
