Koirala, Tamang win title

Lalitpur, November 1

Nepali pair of Prerana Koirala and Saloni Tamang won the girls’ doubles title of the Kesha Group ANLTA Asian U-14 Tennis Championship Circuit-I here at  the Satdobato Tennis Complex courts today.

In all-Nepal final match, the pair of Koirala and Tamang thrashed the duo of Isha Shree Shah and Sharvani Shrestha 6-1, 6-1. Similarly, India pair of Garv Bahl and Rushikesh Sunkara won the boys’ doubles title with a 6-2, 6-1 win against Nepali duo of Aadit Subedi and Aaditya Subedi.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s Aadit Subedi and India’s Garv Bahl advanced to the boys’ singles final. Subedi defeated Rushikesh Sunkara of India 6-4, 6-4, while Bahl saw off Aryan Giri of Nepal 6-1, 6-2. In girls’ singles semi-final matches, Nepal’s Rayana Shah outplayed her teammate Saloni Tamang 6-2, 6-2, while Prerana Koirala beat Riya Matharoo of India 6-1, 6-3.

The remaining final matches will be played on Thursday.
