LALITPUR: Subhangi Laxmi Shah of Little Angels’ and Isha Shree Shah of St Xavier’s School advanced to the girls’ U-14 category quarter-finals under the 10th LA-JTI Inter-school Junior Open Tennis Tournament on Wednesday.

Subhangi defeated Alsha Gurung of John Dewey 6-2, 6-3 and Isha saw off Lumu Lama of Shuvatara 6-1, 6-2.  Sneha Yadav of Aster Academy, Sarbhani Shrestha of Rato Bangala, Siristha Rai of Elim Kids Academy, Rayana Shah of Ace and Prakirti Shrestha of Kanjirowa also advanced to the last eight. In boys’ category, Nepal Police School’s Chirag Timalsina, Nischal Shrestha, Saroj Lama and Nischal Adhikari as well as Aditya Subedia of Aksharaa School and Ivyak Joshi of St Xavier’s made it to the quarter-finals.
