Youth Club Bhimad and Puljip Youth Club played a goalless draw in the opening match of the Tanahun District League Football Tournament here at the Bhimad grounds on Tuesday. In another match, Ajambari Youth Club defeated Akala Youth Club 2-0 on goals from Lakchhu Magar and Man Singh Ghale.
A total of 10 teams are taking part in the tournament organised by Tanahun District FA under the auspices of Youth Club Bhimad. Top two teams will receive Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. Earlier, Bhimad Municipality Mayor Mekh Bahadur Thapa inaugurated the tournament. Tanahun FA President Ratna Kumar Shrestha, Rishing Rural Municipality Chairman Rajendra Krishna Shrestha and Youth Club Bhimad President Nabin Shrestha were also present on the occasion. - HNS
