Kathmandu, May 26:
“Facing harsh weather conditions for the last four consecutive days, Chinese Lifan motorcyclists are still at Na,” said the organisers from the site on Sunday evening. “They will head for Tsho-Rolpa on Monday morning, if the weather is favourable.”
The expedition had been forced to change its schedule on Thursday when the Chinese motorcylists, Sun Xue and Luo Hong Tao, reached Na.
The main objective of the expedition is to set a new world record by taking Lifan motorcycles to 6,187 metre high Parchamo peak on Rolwaling himalayan range, according to a press release issued by the organisers here on Sunday.
The Chinese motorcycle manufacturing company Lifan has organised the expedition with the aim of promoting its range of motorcycles and encouraging adventure tourism in Nepal.
