Maj Gen Gajendra Bahadur Limbu scored 39 points on countback to win the Birthday Cup Golf Tournament. Capt Nischaya Jung Rayamajhi was the runner-up, also with 39 points. Crown Prince Paras gave away prizes to the winners. Brig Gen Gunjman Lama, with 36 points, won the senior section whereas Capt Machhindra Bahadur Rai finished second with 34 points on countback. Shastika Shrestha left Mi Ran Kim behind to win in ladies’ section and Himalaya SJB Rana won in Super Senior section. Chinese envoy Sun Heping won among the diplomats followed by Korean envoy Park Sung Hoon. Brig Gen Naresh Basnyat was the winner among Tribhuvan Army Officers’ Golf Club members. Other winners were CB Bhandari (best gross), Tashi Ghale (most birdies), DB Basnet and Hrideshwor Singh (longest drive), Prachanda Shrestha and Brig Gen Naresh Basnet (closest to the pin), Shrihar Rana (Surprize) and Binarya Sharma (best sportsmanship).
