Limbu on top at Dashain Cup

Kathmandu, October 12:

Major Man Bahadur Limbu accumulated 39 points to lead the standing after the first day of the Ruslan Vodka Dashain Cup Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Course (RNGC) today.

Played under the stable ford 3/4 handicap format, Hari Bahadur Rai, who also scored 39 points, finished the day at second position on count back to Limbu.

D B Rai and Indra Lamichane, who both earned 34 points, are third and fourth respectively, while Shreejoy Acharya was fifth with 32 points.

A total of 34 golfers including four ladies played their rounds on Friday and 44 others will try their luck on Saturday.

The winner of the two-day tournament will receive two round tickets to Bangkok while the runner-up will get a two-way ticket and free stay in Pokhara.
