KATHMANDU: Liverpool College and HHCA lifted the titles of the 14th Gyan Niketan Basketball Championship here on Thursday. In the final of +2 category, Liverpool defeated Prime College 52-47 in extra period after the regulation time ended in 47-all. Samir Niraula scored 16 points for the winning team. In school boys’ section final, HHCA beat Neric Academy 50-44, also in extra period. Bishal Rai top scored for HHCA with 13 points. Ankit Bhandari of Neric and Samir Niraula of Liverpool were adjudged the Most Valuable Players of the tournament. —
