Coaching ends

LALITPUR: The two-week long AFC ‘C’ License Coaching Course organised by ANFA under the auspices of Asian Football Confederation, cocluded today. In all, 41 coaches including five women from 37 districts took part in the course conducted by AFC instructor V Subramaniam.

Shridiwa win

KATHMANDU: Shridiwa School defeated Kathmandu Don Bosco School 29-12 in the day’s match of the Kathmandu District wide Basketball Tournament, which has been organised by PABSON to mark the 41s Children’s Day. In other matches, TIA beat Nava Jyoti 45-20; and Holy Garden beat Zeneth School 35-13.

Bouddha advance

KATHMANDU: Pradeep Kunwar scored twice as Bouddha Club defeated Battisputali Youth Club 3-1 to advance to the quarter-finals from Pool B at the sixth Sano Gaucharan Knock-out Football Tournament. Dinesh Lama of Bouddha and Sawan Lama of Battiputali also scored.

Bheri named best

KATHMANDU: Bheri Taekwondo Dojang was named the best dojang and Prithvi School was adjudged the best school at the closing ceremony of the celebration of the eighth anniversary of Nepal ITF. The celebrations included a blood donation camp, free food at the Pashupati old-age home and felicitation programme. — HNS
