TIA triumph
KATHMANDU: Hosts Trungram International Academy (TIA) ‘A’ and Anamol Jyoti won in the seventh TIA Cup Basketball Tournament on Monday. In the girls’ match, TIA ‘A’ edged past Valley Public 37-17 and Anamol Jyoti defeated Manjari 6-5. EPS, Paragon, Daffodil, Golden Peak and Grand Academy also won the boys’ section matches. EPS beat Himalayan 30-16, Paragon defeated Triyog 35-32,Daffodil saw off Manjari 38-12, Golden Peak outplayed Greenland 50-46 and Grand Academy beat Anamol Jyoti 52-27.
FECA Cup Football
KATHMANDU: The Fair Educational Competitors Association (FECA) Kathmandu are organising the FECA Cup Inter-school Football Tournament from November 27 to December 5, the organisers said here on Monday. A total of 15 teams will vie for the championship.
Committee formed
LALITPUR: A seven-member Lalitpur District ITF Association committee was formed under the presidency of Anju Nath Shrestha here on Monday. Anjan Dhamala is the vice-president in the committee while Sajan Rajathala and Bishwa Shrestha the secretary and treasurer respectively. Rojesh Maharjan, Bharat Maharjan and Tulasa Rajathala are the members of the new working committee.
Ananta School win
LALITPUR: Ananta and Valley Public School (Lamatar) started with wins in the sixth Namuna Running Shield Volleyball Tournament on Monday. Ananta cruised past hosts Namuna School ‘C’ 25-9, 25-18 while Valley Public outplayed West Wing 25-13, 25-18. A total of 21 teams — 15 in boys and six in teachers — are battliing it out for the trophies.
