Nepal Commerce win
LALITPUR: Nepal Commerce Campus made it to the semi-finals of the Akhil Cup Inter-college Football Tournament with a 3-0 win Shankar Dev Campus here on Thursday. UD Gurung gave Nepal Commerce the 60th minute lead before Siddhi Shrestha (72nd) and Niresh Dulal (81st) added one goal apiece to guide their team to the last four. Nepal Commerce will meet winners of the match between Himalayan White House and Golden Gate. The other semi-final pits Xavier International and Patan Multiple Campus.
Lincoln triumph
KATHMANDU: Lincoln, Sirius and St Lawrence recorded wins in the first BST Cup Inter-college Basketball Tournament here on Thursday. Lincoln dispatched New Millennium 58-12 riding on 18 points from Elin KC while Avinav Ranjit netted 14 points as Sirius edged past 34-30. In another match, St Lawrence overwhelmed Learning Realm International 51-15 with 22-point contribution from Prakash Ghimire.
Samjhana in semis
KATHMANDU: Samjhana Maharjan, Sunny Tamang, Sabita Tamang and Saru Pariyar advanced to the women's 40kg category semi-finals of the first Districtwide Karate Tournament. Entering the last four in the women's 45kg were Soni Shrestha, Jyoti Limbu, Srijana Tamang and Shanti Lama. Making it to the women's 50kg semi-finals were Sarita Shrestha, Dawa Bhutik Bhute, Manuka Ghale and Srijana Adhikari.
