LALITPUR: Afeez Olawale Oladipo scored a hat-truck as two-time defending champions Machhindra Football Club defeated Royal Blue Satdobato Youth Club 3-1 in the Martyrs Memorial A Division League here at the ANFA Complex grounds on Wednesday.
Oladipo scored in the 17th minute and added another in the fourth minute of the first half injury time. He completed the hat-trick in the 56th minute.
Jordan Pun Magar scored the consolation goal in the 84th minute. In another match, Sankata Club played a goalless draw with Three Star Club at the Chyasal Stadium.
With their 10th win in 23 matches, Machhindra climbed to second on 39 points and they are two points behind leaders Church Boys United. Satdobato remained at the seventh place with 29 points.
Three Star and Sankata have 27 points and they are just three points above safety. Friends Club and FC Khumaltar - who have 24 points each - are the bottom two sides in the 14-team table.
