Mahendra Police Club beat Sahara

Mahendra Police Club (MPC) entered the semi-finals of the Aaha Gold Cup Football Tournament here today. MPC defeated the hosts Sahara (Blue) 5-1.

Kishore Subba opened the scoring following a cross from Parbat Pandey, while Rakesh Shahi

doubled the tally for the departmental team of Nepal Police.

Neema Lama reduced the margin to 2-1 when he headed in the ball into the net in the 66th minute. Ananta Thapa scored the third goal for MPC in the 78th minute and added another in the dying moments of the match, while Parbat Pandey found the net in the 84th minute.

The score was 2-1 in favour of MPC till the 78th minute of the match, but the police team accelerated their scores towards the end of the match.

Though MPC scored five goals in the match, star striker Hari Khadka failed to contribute any as he was surrounded by two Sahara Club players throughout the match.

On Monday, Tribhuvan Club of Royal Nepalese Army will take on Tarun Youth Association of India. The winner of the match will play against MPC.
