Kathmandu, January 14:

Major Bejoy Moktan accumulated 38 points and won the Crown Prince Paras Birthday Cup Golf Tournament organised by Royal Nepal Golf Club here today.

DIG Niraj Pun earned 34 points and came second in the men’s section. CB Bhandari won the best gross award with 30 points.

Sandhya Rai came first in women’s section with 27 points, while Shastika Shrestha (20) came second. Bishnu Bikram Shahi collected 29 points for the senior section title, followed by Rabindra Raj Pandey, who earned 27 points.

CB Bhandari won the most birdies award, while Neeraj SJB Rana won the longest drive award and Sandhya Rai was the golfer closest to the pin.

In all 61 golfers, including five in women’s and nine in senior sections, took part.

RNGC president S K Singh, honorary secretary of Nepal Golf Association Vinode SJB Rana and joint secretary of NGA Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha expressed their views.
