KATHMANDU: Malpi Institute and Rato Bangala School advanced to the final of the fifth Inter-A-Level Basketball Tournament here on Wednesday. In boys’ semi-finals, Malpi defeated Budhanilkantha 79-59 riding on 35 points from Wangel Gurung, while Sulabh Batas netted 18 points as Rato Bangala beat Saipal Academy 58-42. Both Malpi and Rato Bangala made it to the girls’ final. Kelsang Dolma scored 15 points as Malpi defeated British Model College 33-20, while Rato Bangala outplayed hosts Ace Academy 21-10 riding on eight points from Asmita Bhatta. The finals are slated for Thursday.
