Kathmandu, November 12:

Nilendra Dewan scored a hat-trick and Raj Kumar KC added one as Friends’ Club blanked Boys’ Union Club (BUC) 4-0 while Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) beat Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC) 3-1 in the Martyrs’ Memorial San Miguel ‘A’ Division League Football here today.

Both the BUC and JYC are yet to earn a point after their fourth consecutive losses. Anil Gurung scored twice and Raj Kumar Ghising scored one for MMC while Doran Sherchan pulled back one for JYC.

In the first match, Ghising put MMC ahead following Prasant Giri’s pass in the 27th minute. Anil Gurung doubled the lead when he simply tapped in on a cross from Ghising five minutes later.

Sherchan, who was left unmarked inside the box, bridged the gap in the 45th minute when he fired home following Suman Shrestha’s pass.

Anil finished off the game adding another for MMC when he scored on Nabin Neupane’s shot rebounded off the bar. MMC skipper Tashi Tsering won the Adidas man of the match award.

In the second match, Dewan gave Friends’ Club a lead in the sixth minute. Friends’ doubled their lead on Dewan’ superb freekick in the 75th minute. Raj Kumar KC, who was named the Adidas man of the match, added another with a stunning 25-yard strike in the 78th minute. Dewan completed his hat-trick in the 86th minute.
