KATHMANDU: Bal Bikash School on Monday honoured Manita Shrestha Pradhan for winning bronze medal in the 11th Asian Cadet and 18th Asian Junior Judo Championship in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Nepal Judo Association Joint General Secretary and coach Surya Shrestha handed over Rs 15,000 to Pradhan, who is a 10th standard student at the Bal Bikash School.

The 12th South Asian Games silver medallist, Pradhan won the medal in the women’s below-57kg weight category on Saturday. Pradhan defeated Gulboeva Fazilat of Tajikistan in the bronze medal match.

Pradhan had won her first round match against Sabitri of India and second round match against Sultanova Sanobar of Uzbekistan.
