Manju receives donation

KATHMANDU: The US Nepali Sports and Cultural Development Institute, a group of former Nepali sportspersons living in the United States, donated $1,000 for the treatment of former taekwondo international Manju Tuladhar here on Thursday. Representative of the Institute Chakra Lama handed over the sum here at a programme on Wednesday. The eighth South Asian Federation (SAF) silver medalist Tuladhar has been diagnosed with failed kidneys and has been undergoing dialysis twice a week. Doctors have advised her for the kidney transplantation at the earliest. Tuladhar also has a gold medal under her belt at the second National Games in 1983 apart from bronze medals at the Asian Taekwondo Championship in 1998 and the third National Games in 1985.
