Kathmandu, May 16

Devibas Events and Media Pvt Ltd is organising the Tip Top Marwadi Super  Eights Cricket Tournament here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium from  Wednesday.

A total of eight teams — each side comprising of eight players from  Marwadi community — will compete in the seven-over-a-side tournament which is being held under the auspices of Khukuri ENT, informed Devibas Secretary Binayak Thapa at a press meet today.

Thapa said the estimated cost of the tournament was one million rupees. Tip Top is the main sponsor of the tournament which is supported by Jimi Group, Bee One and cricketingnepal.com.

The participating teams are divided into two groups with top two advancing to the semi-finals after the league matches. The semi-finals and final are slated for Saturday.

Sajangoth Champs, Riders, Hamrokitchen.com and I.Store Warriors are in Group A, while Group B comprises of Tip Top, Fighters, KBH Nepal and Kochar Bangers.
