KATHMANDU: The National Sports Council on Thursday rewarded the 109 players who had won medals in international and official tournaments in the previous fiscal year. NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista handed over Rs 25,000 each to 35 gold medallists, while 42 silver medal winning players received Rs 15,000 apiece. Likewise, 32 bronze medallists in various tournaments got Rs 10,000 each. Meanwhile, Member Secretary Bista felicitated Maheshwor Maharjan, who won the gold medal in the 50th Asian Bodybuilding Championship in Bhutan on Tuesday.
